Flawless, Fun, Fabulous, Natural Summer Makeup

Only two days till it's officially summer!!! And I know that when I'm at the beach, pool or running around outside I don't want to worry about my makeup sliding off my face! Here are my saving graces for summer!

1) Covergirl Aqua Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer in Light to Fair. You may have seen popular gurus on Youtube like Macbarbie07 talk about this, I can see why, it had SPF 15 and its oil free, plus it provides more coverage than most. And its under ten dollars! I got it at Target for $7.

2) Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Stain in Wink of Pink. Tinted moisturizers are amazing for summer because you don't have to worry about it being all over your face during the day, or being sticky. It is movable for the first 15 seconds so you can wipe a bit off or leave it all on to get a brighter pop of color. It's also pretty inexpensive at under $5

3) Nars Duo Cream Eyeshadows ironically in Summertime :). Yes it's in summertime, no I did not plan that! Its two cream eye shadows one is a gorgeous bronze gold color and the other is a sparkly off white with gold undertones. The names are Champagne and Sunset Gold. Cream eyeshadows are really good for summer because they stay put and while on they look like you did way more work than you actually did! The duo is expensive though at $33.

Hope you guys have a great summer!!!

Vacation/Wedding Summer Haul

Hi girls :) So yesterday I went to a local mall and also Marshalls & TJ Maxx. While at the mall I only went to one store, which was Payless to look for shoes for my brothers wedding (which is in a little more than a week!). Then I went to two of my favorite stores TJ's and Marshalls to look for some summery clothing for my vacation to Ohio!

Payless

Payless's BOGO sales are my weakness, especially with summer shoes! I could have spent hundreds in there! I ended up getting two pairs of shoes, I bought the Looper Twisted Wedge by Dexter in black (for the wedding) and The Misty Woven Wedge by the Montego Bay Club in Berry (for fun). I fell in love with the Misty Woven Wedges at first sight they are gorgeous, I love the cork on the heel and the braided detailing. The Looper Twisted wedges to be honest don't look to attractive in the box or on the website, but when I tried them, I thought they looked way better on :)

TJ Maxx/Marshalls

I discovered TJ Maxx and Marshalls about three years ago and I am in love! Both stores are excellent when you want designer labels but for alot less. I have gotten items there from huge designers such as Donna Karen, Michael Kors & Chinease Laundry. They also have popular main stream store pieces such as aerie, American Eagle, Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch. I actually prefer shopping the lesser known designers because then I can be introduced to new labels and they are normally cheaper. One thing I don't like about Marshalls & TJ's is that you can't buy clothes on their online store, or go back for something you saw there because it most likely won't be there when you go to get it. That was quite rambly!

So anyways, while I was at Marshalls I got just a heather grey and navy blue empire waisted mini dress, It's super cute I love it and I also pair it with a grey cami underneath because it can droop a little. The company who made the dress is Soprano, unfortunately I couldn't find a picture of the dress or a website. Then at TJ Maxx I got another dress from Soprano, it's a light grey maxi with a braiding detail right under the bust. Also I got a pair of kahki shorts from Contemporary Edge (another one with no website) and a flowey black tank top with little pink roses all over and three little buttons at the top.

Here are some dupes for what I got :)

Grey Striped Maxi Dress-Forever21-$19

Dark Grey Tank with Ruffles and Red Roses all over-Forever21-$15.80

Khaki Shorts-Old Navy-$19.50
Thanks for Reading :)

FaSHOEnable Summer Shoes ☀

Hey Girls! So my last FaSHOEnable post seemed pretty popular so I figured why not do another one except for summer shoes! So here are three pairs of shoes I personally love for summer!

1) Gladiator Flats: Everyone has been talking about Gladiator Flats for this spring and summer. At first I was a sceptic just because of all the buckles and I heard they can be uncomfortable...ALL LIES! Gladiator flats are so comfy and you can find some without all of the straps and buckles, that you can just put on really quick and then head out the door! I want the American Eagle Studded Gladiator Flats very badly! I love the stud detail! The next time I go to the mall I have to pick these up! http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?catId=cat3120012&productId=1416_1025

2) Wedges: Another summer 2011 favorite trend! They are wildly popular this season and I personally have been a fan of wedges for years! They give you the height and they're way more comfortable than regular heels. Wedges are going to be a lifesaver this summer, I'm going to be a bridesmaid in my brothers wedding later this month and the wedding is outside. Outside weddings are a killer for heels! I love the Madden Girl Kloverr Wedges  http://www.zappos.com/madden-girl-kloverr-natural-fabric the leather flower detailing is just precious!

3) Fancy Flip Flops: The cheap, comfortable and pretty colored Old Navy flip flops are good to expand your flip flop collection and match every shirt in your cloest, but sometimes it's good to have flip flops that are fancier for certain occasions. Just because they are leather, does not mean they are any less comfortable than the plastic ones! American Eagles leather flip flops have padding on the inside! These are a complete must have for me during summer.

DIY Beauty Treatments

Hey girls! Everyone loves to be pampered once and a while, but It can be expensive! That's why I love home made beauty treatments! Sometimes it can be scary, you google face mask recipes and you get back these complex chemistry projects that just seem impossible. I don't know anyone that keeps palmarosa essential oil in their cabinets at all times, so I found a variety of beauty treatments for all skin types and ages, that contain products that can be found in most kitchens :)

Hair:

Lemon Juice Highlights: Pour 1 cup of water and the juice of 2 fresh lemons into a spray bottle. Then spray then entire contents of the bottle into wet hair, put it up into a towel and let it sit for 30 to 60 minutes. I would do this a couple of times to get noticeable results and sitting out in the sun without the towel on helps bring them out sooner. To get red highlights do all the same steps, but with 2 cups of Apple Cider Vinegar.

Body

Tingly Coffee and Salt Scrub: Mix together 3 tablespoons of coffee grounds and 1 tablespoon of salt in a bowl and use it as a scrub in the shower. For a more exfoliating scrub use sea salt!

The Sun Burn Savior: Mix together chilly water, Baking Soda, and Vinegar (optional) to help relieve the sting of sun burns. Just apply where needed!

Yummy Brown Sugar Scrub: Mix 1/2 a cup of Brown Sugar, plus a tablespoon of honey, a dash of olive oil and 1/4 tablespoon of lemon juice. Smells fantastic! Scrub in the shower, then rinse. The time to use it is right before you plan on using self tanner.

Face

You Must be Yolking, Face Mask: In a bowl mix 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt, 1/2 a tablespoon of olive oil. Smooth onto your face and let sit for 15-30 minutes, then wash off with warm water.

Sugar and Honey Exfoliating Scrub: 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of honey and 1/2 a cup of sugar. Scrubs with both sugar and honey in it are a win-win because they both buff away dead skin cells and hydrates which makes your skin silky smooth.

The Sweet Cinnamon Face Mask: 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of nutmeg and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, makes a fabulous anti-informatory, exfoliating and acne scar erasing paste. Leave on the mask for 30 minutes then wash it off by moving your wet fingers in a circular motion and rinse with warm water.

5 Must Haves For Hell Week (Finals)

Are you girls all freaking out too? I know...It sucks! Late night cram sessions, then when you finally can manage to fall asleep you have nightmares, your alarm clock doesn't go off, you forget everything you know, you forget pants I know I've had them all! Finals are awful, you have to take two hour long exams when other people are at the beach and getting a summer glow. Here are 5 things that will help you survive :)

1. Comfy sweat pants: I love Victoria Secrets Boyfriend sweats! They're baggy yet cute and chic. I have them in Purple, Black and Blue, I am so obsessed! They are a little pricey, but they will last forever plus they are adorable. For summer I would pair them with a cute tank.

2. Hair Elastics That Won't Slip: The hair ties with the grips are fantastic, because you don't have to worry about your hair falling all over the place during your test. I recommend: Goody hair ties, they can be found at any drugstore!

3. Easy Effortless Makeup: You have enough to worry about, you don't want to take 20 minutes trying to blend your crease right. I reccomend: a cream eyeshadow, it stays put and looks like you put way more effort in then you really do. A tinted moisturizer, a total summer staple, plus it light weight. A tinted lip balm, with tinted lip balm you can slide it onto your lips really quick and still have a bit of color on your lips! Also bronzer to give you a little glow.
Any drugstore would have these products :)

4. A Good Face Mask: When I get home after a day of tests, I just want to relax. I adore face masks! I recommend: Queen Helenes Mint Julep Mask, you can find it at Walgreens or CVS for around $4. Or make your own! (In the next couple of days I'll have a post on DIY Beauty Treatments for you girls!)

5. Patience :) Look on the bright side! You have shortend school days and school is almost over!

When it's all over? I recommend: A party with a big or small group, co-ed or just with your girls...enjoy your summer is just beggining and its time to celebrate! A pool party or even just a BBQ with some tiki torches and your BFF's! Summer is a time for friendship and memories, so make the most out of it!!!
