Love Your (Dry) Skin

For many winter is a time for snowballs and sledding but for others winter brings frustrating dry skin! There are three types of skin: dry, oily and combination skin. One mistake most people make is buying genaric facial cleansers, with out realizing they're for oily skin or for a different skin condition. Especailly if you have dry skin, you have to be careful. Buying skincare products meant for someone with oily skin can strip the softness and moisture from your skin, because oil control products are meant to take oils away from the skin to balence the nautral oils.

Suprisingly dry skin has many natural remedies, small changes such as drinking camamille tea and massaging your face with olive oil once a week. both of these are excellent (and cheap) ways to help your dry skin.

For girls with acne and dry skin, picking out a skincare system can be tricky. Toners are good for getting rid of acne causing bacteria but it can also dry out your skin. Another no no for dry skin is a cream based cleanser, often cream based cleansers can sit ontop of skin and make the skin red and itchy.

Now for all types of skin one thing you should never ever apply mineral oil to your skin. Not only on your face on your body too. Mineral oil creates a saran wrap like film around your skin and can cause all kinds of health issues.
